This year the San Angelo Performing Arts Center is excited to host its 3rd Annual Fundraising Gala, the Thistle Affair on 11 February 2022.
The goal of this event is to raise awareness of the performing arts in San Angelo and to raise capital to help maintain our wonderful facilities as well as to reduce the cost for other non-profit organizations to use our spaces and promote the arts.
For our 2021/22 Season, the theme for this event is “Find Your Light” which is a theatre term that imparts the importance of finding one’s place on the stage for their moment to shine. We hope that our loyal supporters continue to find their ‘light’ in the performing arts; whether as a member, sponsor, donor, volunteer, or patron.
We have a wonderful program planned for this evening and we hope that guests leave feeling inspired and excited about being involved with our performing arts community.
The evening will begin with hors d’oeuvres in the Stephens Performing Arts Center on 82 Gillis Street. Here we will have a special unveiling of a new art installation and a live painting demonstration by Ryan Dalgliesh.
We will then transition to the Murphey Performance Hall where a gourmet meal will be served on stage followed by some rousing entertainment by San Angelo’s finest vocal talents.
The evening will conclude with a spectacular show outside City Hall.
