The Thistle Affair is the annual fundraising event for the San Angelo Performing Arts Center. Established in 2019, the Thistle Affair, is centered around providing exceptionally unique and fun experiences while promoting awareness of the vibrant performing arts ecosystem in San Angelo and the Concho Valley.
This year for the Thistle Affair we invite you to step into a 1940's USO style Hangar Dance, complete with the Swing Dancers and the Big Band sound of West Texas Jazz Orchestra.
A 1943 SNJ-4 Texan provided by Sam Strahan will serve as the backdrop for the evening at Skyline Aviation.

As the only independent, non-profit performing arts center in West Texas, we rely on the generous support of private donors, businesses, and the City to help us provide state-of-the-art facilities to local, national, and international artists; program diverse cultural and educational experiences; and, enrich the quality of life for the people who live in our community.

Dancing will begin during the cocktail hour. If you’re unfamiliar with Swing Dancing, we’ve got you covered, with local Swing Dancers to help you learn some steps.
The auction will begin at 6:30 for opportunities to bid on incredible travel experiences including Game of Thrones in Ireland, Fiji Paradise, and Broadway in New York City to name a few!
